First made a package upgrade, which worked. But the result wasn't very satisfying.
I wanted the new look and all. So, yes I wiped it.
And reinstalled everything.
A lot of things did not work to recover, like KMail. Insane. It broke Akonadi completely. The backup could not get my messages back. Good thing I can still read the mails via dolphin. :-/
Already compiled Rekonq and using it as my default browser like before. Still a lot to do. I'll probably do a bigger post on my other blog about my experience during and after the installation, and how it worked out. And some recommendations.
