Once a hero, now defamed by the new mind police

As I read through Glenn Moody's "Rebel Code: Linux And The Open Source Revolution" (2001), I found a passage about Brendan Eich, that formed the Mozilla Browser from the beginning and pushed the Gecko-Engine. He was the tech mozilla.org genius those days in 1998.
And now he gets defamed for his personal views, after he was announced CEO, and forced to leave the company. Thanks to the new mind police of Mozilla under pressure of a minority. F U Mozilla. You are no longer trustworthy. What next? Be a good patriot? Or be against NRA? Oh wait, Eric Raymond will not be amused.
