What is a beautiful design?

It's interesting seeing so many experts whining about the rumored design of the new Nexus 6 (2015) from Huawei in social networks.
No matter if the leak is fake or not, I have the feeling that, if so many "pros" are saying it's a bad design, it is in fact a very good design for the mass market.
