Reading "Making of Karateka"

Do you remember Karateka? Sure you do. It was a game ahead of its time.
Jordan Mechner did it. The guy who made Prince of Persia, too.
And the great thing is, the eBook I currently reading, is his diary from that time 1982-1985. It was a wild time. I've bought the book in a "Humble Bundle" together with the Android-Version of the classic Karateka.

Let's see what I learned about. But beware, it can bring out things that you saw totally different in your childhood. Or clear up some things. I like it so far. But I'm only at page 80/200.

Happy Halloween 2013

Yeah! And Google trimmed Mister Jingles for this.

Very nice idea.
I always thought some notifications were spooky anyway. Not only on Halloween.

Classic Movie Time

Do you know the title of this movie?
A real classic one. You know these were real films. No 3D,no HD but a story that keeps you watching and actors who deserve it to be called like that.

Can you guess the title?

GNU+Linux Mint 15 now on my Laptop

Olivia just arrived at my Laptop.
GNU+Linux Mint 15 after I needed to reinstall the system because I switched accidentally WIFI to OFF, which causes my Ubuntu (and Mint) to disable it permanently with no way to enable it again.

So I thought, I give Mint a run. Works fine on my Laptop. At least until I hit this damn Wifi-disable button in the tray pull-down menu again.

Real life problems kills the blog lust

Yeah, sounds like some people are right when they say, if you participate in social networks, you have too much time at hands.
The last weeks were very turbulent for me. And so I rarely blog at the moment. No panic, this will change again :)

I think on Tuesday, I have something to write when Google introduces the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat. Yay.

The cute degu "Kiwi" passed away :(

One year after "Hoss" died, the brave degu "Kiwi" passed away. He was 6 years old, and after a short but intense fight against his age, today he was relieved from his suffering.
Rest in peace,Kiwi. You will never be forgotten.

Problems that aren't problems

Emacs or Vim... if we only could reduce all problems of the world to that question.

No name Cola just got much cooler

Yeah look at Franklin's room. Just drank 1.5 liter of that :) GTA V makes no name cola so cool.

Arrrrrr... Abandon all hopes

Talk like a pirate day... Yeh all thought I forgot that, right?
You landlubbers, me send you greetings for today.
Ahoy and yo ho...

No escape: Bought GTA V and a PS3

I couldn't resist.
I bought GTA V. I didn't want to buy a PS3 again, after my old one died 2 years ago. But GTA 5 (or GTA V) is too good.
The PS4 is not backward compatible :(.

This also means, I won't buy a PS4 at launch. I think Sony should have hand over some millions to Rockstar to get this game out on the PS4. Too bad Sony, now I'll wait for an undisclosed period of time.

Even worse: I will buy Battlefield 4 for the PC now, instead of the planned PS4-Version. Huh, now I asked myself, is there any reason to buy a PS4? Yeah, if anywhere in the future, GTA V Episodes or GTA 6 comes out. Before that? There must be a little wonder then...

Installing GNU+Linux Mint 15

I'm about to test-install GNU+Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon.

Let's see how this turns out to be.
I tried some distributions. But concerns about security keeps me trying more and more.

Hard working for the podcasts

Lack of topics this week. It's so boooooring after the IFA. Everything new was presented, and only rumors are spreading through the net.
*sigh*
